<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder and an image forming system capable of shortening the time for recording an image on a first recording paper and outputting it. <P>SOLUTION: Before receiving conveyance start instruction information D5 of instructing the start of conveyance of a recording paper P from an image forming device 10, the recording paper P stored in a paper feed tray 70 is conveyed in advance to the predetermined position on the conveying path (here, the position detected by a first paper sheet detection sensor 84 on a conveying path 80, and the position detected by a second paper sheet detection sensor 86 on a conveying path 82), and stopped there.
