A stocking suspender comprises a body 1 having a tapering recess 5 with undercut side-walls 6, Fig. 4, into which fits a sliding button 8 of complementary wedge-shape, the stocking being gripped between the two members in the usual way. Both members may be made of synthetic plastic such as polythene; the button 8 may have finger grips as shown and be integral with a band 11 which is introduced through slot 13 into slot 12 in the body and retained therein by an enlargement 9, (see Fig. 2, not shown). The total thickness of the suspender may be limited to 3 mm. adapting it to be worn under tight skirts. |
