PURPOSE: A channel tuning method and a broadcasting receiver adopting the same are provided to search an analog signal in the digital signal tuning of the broadcasting receiver and tune the analog signal with a search result to shorten a tuning time. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting receiver perform the auto tuning of a digital broadcasting signal at a first frequency interval from a start frequency set to a frequency table and stores a tuning result in a channel map(S201). In case the digital broadcasting signal is detected in a first frequency, the broadcasting receiver stores the tuning result of the digital broadcasting signal and determines whether an analog broadcasting signal is detected within a predetermined range close to the first tuned frequency(S202,S203).
