PURPOSE: An oil viscosity probe and an oil viscosity monitoring apparatus and method using the same are provided to more accurately measure viscosity because a magneto-elastic ribbon is coupled to the housing of the oil viscosity probe. CONSTITUTION: An oil viscosity probe comprises a housing(110), a magneto-elastic ribbon(121), an electromagnetic coil(122), a temperature sensor(130), and a printed circuit board(140). The housing is installed in a member accepting oil. One end of the magneto-elastic ribbon is fixed by a first insert member inside the housing while the other end is partially or completely immerged in oil. The electromagnetic coil is installed in the housing, surrounding the magneto-elastic ribbon. The temperature sensor is installed in the housing in order to measure the temperature of the oil. The printed circuit board is electrically connected to the electromagnetic coil and the temperature sensor.
