摘要 PURPOSE: A fault detection and prediction apparatus of instrument transformer is provided to immediately confirm a MOF fault generation and inform a power supplier of it, to quickly perform MOF repair or replacement and to prevent faults extended to a wrong capacity prediction due to MOF faults. CONSTITUTION: A detection unit(50) compares data inputted from a current transformer detecting current flowing on a primary side R, S, T, of the MOF(30) with data inputted from the current transformer detecting current flowing on a secondary side R, S, T, of the MOF and a neutral conductor(N) and checks a leakage current of the secondary side neutral conductor of the MOF, a load unbalance of the secondary side R, S, T, of the MOF and the neutral conductor, zero-phase sequence current, and high-frequency current. The detection unit verifies a MOF fault generation based on check results, predicts a phase difference based on a data comparison between the primary side current detection of the MOF and the secondary side current detection of the MOF, a phase difference compared with MOF standard data with predetermined a ratio error and a lifespan of the MOF based on the ratio error difference and controls to inform the power supplier of the MOF fault generation and the MOF lifespan prediction data. A communications unit(60) transmits the MOF fault generation and text messages or alarming signals as to the MOF lifespan prediction on the basis of a control of the detection unit to communications terminal of a person in charge of maintenance and the power supplier.
