Device for separating paint overspray

The device (1) has a separating unit (4) e.g. continuous steel band, with an electrically conductive surface in a housing (2), where the surface and an electrode arrangement (12) are connected to two terminals of a high-voltage source (14) respectively. Air of a painting cubicle flows past the unit (4) and the arrangement, such that overspray particles are colonized and deposited on the surface. The unit is continuously or intermittently moved. A wiping device (10) wipes off the overspray that lies on the surface. A transporting device (3) carries the wiped overspray for disposal or re-use.
