The invention relates to a kit that includes a set of differently-sized spacers 150 and cutter module assembly 100 having opposable shear blades 160. The spacers are used to establish different offsets between the shear blades when installed in the module assembly to accommodate different characteristics of tubing to be severed by the module assembly. A later embodiment relates to an apparatus comprising the cutter module and differently sized spacers.
