The method involves detecting stoppage position of rotors (20) from two or multiple independent operable detection devices (32,36). The detected stoppage position of the rotors is verified by the former detection device and the latter detection device respectively. The stoppage position is indicated with a pre-determined stoppage position of the rotors by a signal device (44) of a wind power plant (W).
