<p>PURPOSE: A projector and a control method thereof are provided to project an image properly by automatically adjusting the magnification according to the distance to a projection screen. CONSTITUTION: A projector comprises an image projection part(120), a projection distance measuring part(170), and a projection range setting part(180). The image projection part projects an image, which is generated based on inputted image data, onto a projection screen. The projection distance measuring part measures the projection distance to the projection screen from the image projection part. The projection range setting part controls image data so that the image is projected onto the projection screen in the set projection condition according to the projection distance.</p> |
