PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flashing device having a plurality of discharge tubes in which the charging voltage of a main capacitor is kept not to be lower than the light emittable charging voltage of the discharge tube. SOLUTION: A camera microcomputer 100 repeats a detecting operation till a sw1 to be turned on by the first stroke of a release button is detected and detects the sw1 (#101). In #102, a shutter speed and a diaphragm value which are used for an exposure operation are obtained by calculation. A focus is detected by a phase difference detection method in #103. The focus of a lens is adjusted in #104. In #105, the camera microcomputer 100 judges whether an sw2 to be turned on by the second stroke of the release button is on or not, repeats the operation from the step 101-104 in the case of off and proceeds to a release operation after a step 106 when the sw2 is on. A light emitting amount arithmetic sub-routine in the flashing device is called first after the release operation in #106, the exposure operation is performed in #107 and the processing is completed (#108). |
