<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reading device and method for a rolled paper for reading the information provided on a rear surface of a tip part of the continuous paper automatically in a short time by reading the information automatically. <P>SOLUTION: This information reading device 10 for the rolled paper for reading the information provided on the rear surface of the tip part of the continuous paper prior to packing of the rolled paper 20 constituted by winding the continuous paper around a core is provided with a driving means for rotating and driving the rolled paper and stopping its rotation and driving when the tip part of the continuous paper is detected, a paper end detection means 15 for detecting the tip part of the continuous paper separated from the rotating rolled paper, and an information reading means 16 for reading the information provided on the rear surface of the tip part of the continuous paper when rotation and driving of the rolled paper stop due to the detection of the tip part of the continuous paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
