PURPOSE: A stand type refrigerator is provided to maximize the space of a main body by utilizing upper and lower spaces of a refrigerator body appropriately. CONSTITUTION: A stand type refrigerator comprises a main body(10) provided with an inside space(11) and opened forward, a machine room(20) formed in the inside space to be located on the upper rear of the inside space and provided with components for a refrigerating cycle, a storage portion(30) composed of many storage chambers(31,34,35) arranged vertically in the inside space, and a refrigerant duct(40) formed along the backside of the storage chamber located on the uppermost layer.
