PURPOSE: An application authentication system and an authentication method thereof are provided for an authentication server to authenticate an application buyer without the transmission of a purchase information and intrinsic information to prevent the personal information of the application buyer from being exposed. CONSTITUTION: Using a certification key file, a terminal(120) receives the certification of an application in the drive of the application for installation. Using the certification key file, a certification server(140) certifies the application in the drive of the application for installation. Using the intrinsic information of the terminal, the certification server certifies the application in the drive of the application for execution. Using purchasing information, a purchase server(150) certifies the application in the drive of the application for execution.
