PROCESS FOR MAGNETIC SEPARATION OF NANODISPERSED DIAMOND POWDER

摘要

A process for magnetic separation of nanodispersed diamond powder comprises chemical removal of metals and their compounds from carbon material at treatment with acid while heating, removal of nondiamond forms of carbon by acid treatment using oxidant, washing of material from products of acid treatment, neutralization of rinse water and utilization of neutralization products. After chemical treatment nanodispersed diamond powder in the form of aqueous suspension with a concentration less than 0.5 % is divided in magnetic field into magnetic and nonmagnetic fractions.
