The invention relates to the production of hydrogen and can be used in treatment of iron ores and utilization of iron-containing metallurgical wastes. A process for the preparation of hydrogen provides for reacting of aqueous vapor with solid agglomerated iron-containing material. According the invention agglomerated iron-containing material is formed from the mixture of iron-containing materials, solid fuel and fluxing agent by sintering on movable belt with firing and impregnation of air and preparation of sintered product comprising 10-50 % of FeO, having a temperature of 400-800 °C and then it is given on movable band to the reaction chamber, where it is reacting with overheated vapor under pressure is not less than 0.11 MPa. |
