A method for prevention of hypothyroidism after thyroidectomy for cancer of the thyroid gland comprises the removing of the entire thyroid gland. At the microscopic level, intraoperationally the separation of unaltered portion of the glands from pathologically transformed is performed. After that the cryopreservation of intact cells and transplantation to the patient are made after the completion by it of treatment course of radio iodine therapy.
