METHOD FOR CRYOPRESERVING FLK-SBBL STRAIN OF PASSAGED SHEEP KIDNEY CELLS PRODUCING BOVINE LEUKEMIA VIRUS

A method for cryopreserving the FLK–SBBL strain of passaged sheep kidney cultures, which produces the bovine leukemia virus, includes stage-by-stage freezing of a mixture of nutrient media. At the first stage cooling of cell suspension in a cryoprotective medium is conducted. At the second stage freezing of the passaged cultures in liquid nitrogen vapours is carried out with further submerging into liquid nitrogen. A cryopreserving medium comprising a mixture of nutrient medium DMEM and 199 inactivated cattle blood serum, dimexide are used.
