GENERATOR OF MULTIPLE PULSES OF CURRENT FOR MAGNETIC PULSED TREATMENT OF METALS WITH BRANCH CIRCUIT OF SWITCHING DEVICES

A generator of multiple pulses of current for metal forming by pressure of pulsed magnetic field comprising a charger, a capacity storage of electric energy and a discharge circuit with a load-inductor, which switching is performed by a thyristor electronic device, is made to synchronize charge-discharge of the capacity storage for excitation of specified number of current pulses in the discharge circuit. The discharge circuit is made as a set of parallel branches consisting of identical series-connected capacitances and switching thyristor electronic devices with a common electrical terminal to the load-inductor, and the number of parallel branches is chosen based on allowable current of the switching thyristor electronic devices.
