FIELD: textile, paper. ^ SUBSTANCE: ironing pad (202) is a laminate (204), which has at least one hole (215) and a perimetre that complies with a perimetre of a foot (203) of an iron (201). The foot has the foot surface (210). The laminate comprises a heat-insulating layer (205), having a contact surface (206), to create contact with the iron foot surface, and a heat-transfer layer (207), having the contact surface (208) to contact with an article of clothing for ironing. After installation of an ironing pad in accordance with this invention, on the iron the surface of contact with the foot of the heat-insulating layer is in contact with the surface of the iron foot. The surface of contact with the foot and the surface of contact with an article of clothing in the heat-insulating layer face each other. During installation and removal of a pad, and also during ironing, the surface of contact with an article of clothing in the heat-insulating layer is not in a direct contact with the iron foot. ^ EFFECT: improved protection of the iron foot against damage during installation of the pad onto the iron or during its removal from the iron. ^ 18 cl, 12 dwg |
