<p>A mobile station (MS) of a wireless communications system monitors the paging messages of a serving base station (BS) as well as paging messages of one or more neighboring BSs with sufficient signal strength or signal quality. The MS monitors for paging messages from a set of BSs including the serving BS and the neighboring BSs, during listening intervals. The MS coordinates the listening intervals with the paging intervals of the paging messages. These and other aspects related to monitoring the paging intervals of multiple BSs may help improve paging success rate.</p> |
