<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book storage management system that performs processing based on the thickness dimension of a book. <P>SOLUTION: A container information database DB3 stores book identification data for each book stored in a container in association with container identification data of the container. Upon returning a book, a management device 30 accesses the container information database DB3 accompanying acquisition of the identification data of the book to be returned, specifies the container having an open space based on the dimension of the book to be returned corresponding to the identification data of the book to be returned, updates and stores the container information database DB3 as needed, and commands the specified container to be conveyed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
