PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image having good image quality by discharging charges accumulated in an imaging device two or more times.

SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 10 includes an imaging device having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form and images an object by exposing the imaging device to light from the object, and also includes: a detection module 202 for detecting an imaging state of the object; an operation control module 206 for controlling an operation of a curtain body traveling to block light to the imaging device; and a scan control module 204 for controlling the exposure start scanning of the imaging device by discharging charges accumulated in the imaging device prior to the traveling of the curtain body. The scan control module 204 discharges the charges accumulated in the imaging device two or more times according to the imaging state of the object.
