PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup apparatus which can quickly fix an AF sensor unit to a device body with high precision by parallax adjustment. SOLUTION: An AF sensor unit installation seat 14 is pivotally mounted to a fixed cylinder 2 of an image pickup lens barrel by a rotation shaft component 5 so as to be rotatable in a first direction. Using first direction adjusting means 14a and 4, the posture of the AF unit installation seat 14 can be adjusted so as to rotate in the first direction. The shaft hole 8b of a first side plate 28 is pivotally mounted to a rotation shaft boss 14c provided at the basal end side of a second supporting plate 25 extending upright from one side face of the first supporting plate 24 of the AF unit installation seat 14, and thereby the AF unit holder 8 is pivotally mounted so that it is rotatable in a second direction. Using second direction adjusting means 8a and 3, the posture of the AF unit holder 8 is adjusted so that it rotates in a second direction. By operating the first direction adjusting means 14a and 4 and the second direction adjusting means 8a and 3 from the same direction, the parallax of the AF sensor 10 is adjusted.
