PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio device which has an interface which can make a plurality of pieces of software operate without considering differences between OSs, and has a platform operated at a low load. SOLUTION: This radio device has an operating system, a plurality of software components, and middleware interposed between the operating system and the plurality of software components, and executes one or more of the plurality of software components to perform radio communication processing as a whole. Furthermore, the radio device has a first starting means which is included in the middleware and starts one or more of the plurality of software components on the basis of a predetermined condition when the radio device is started, and a second starting means which is included in the middleware and starts a software component specified from the outside of the plurality of software components.
