PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire whose aging preventing performance and gripping performance are enhanced to the conventional level or more without worsening friction resistance in a rubber composition in which an unsaturated terpene resin is compounded. SOLUTION: In the rubber composition for tire, 5 to 50 pts.wt. unsaturated terpene resin and 0.1 to 5 pts.wt. tea extract containing catechin are compounded in 100 pts.wt. rubber component containing≥90 wt.% diene rubber having≤-25°C glass transition temperature and a weight ratio (a/b) of a compounded amount (a [pts.wt.]) of the unsaturated terpene resin to a compounded amount (b [pts.wt.]) of the tea extract is specified to be 1 to 200.
