PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfectant for contact lens capable of obtaining high disinfection effect in a short time, and to provide a disinfection unit for contact lens. SOLUTION: The disinfectant for contact lens comprises: (A) a hydrogen peroxide or a peroxide that is dissolved into water and produces the hydrogen peroxide; and (B) a catalyst that includes a mixture and/or a reactant of a specified chelating agent or its derivative (b1) and at least one (b2) of copper compound and manganese compound.
