PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inhibiting metastasis or maintenance of various cancers. SOLUTION: The method includes a step for blocking a signaling of a chemokine receptor on a cell. In particular, the method makes use of the fact that certain trafficking of cancers depends upon identified proteins, which serves as markers. Additional methods of screenings are also provided. The metastasis is specific to organs (e.g., a lymph node, bone marrow or skin) or the cancer cells including breast, head and neck, malignant melanoma or prostate thereof.
