PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure strength of a finger jaw to clamp a workpiece having a small portion to be locked with high accuracy and reliability. SOLUTION: A finger chuck 1 is equipped with a coil spring 14 for storing a spider 7 connecting finger jaws 6 and 6 via a fulcrum shaft 19 into an axis hole 4 and also urging the spider 7 to an advance position. A draw bar 5 and the finger jaws 6 and 6 are coupled via a coupling shaft 21 and a cam groove 22. A pin 17 is provided on the draw bar 5. While the finger jaws 6 and 6 are opened/closed between a workpiece mounting position and an unclamping position via a cam mechanism by reciprocating the draw bar 5 with the spider 7 positioned at the advance position, back-and-forth movement of the finger jaws 6 and 6 between the unclamping position and a clamping position takes place by moving the spider 7 back and forth via the pin 17 by reciprocating the draw bar 5.
