<p>The present invention relates to a touch screen, and more particularly, to a method for calculating the distances between multiple contact points or calculating the location coordinates thereof on a resistive touch screen provided with a first substrate, on which an upper-end electrode and a lower-end electrode are formed, and a second substrate, on which a left-end electrode and a right-end electrode are formed. According to the method for calculating the coordinates of multiple contact points, the coordinates of multiple contact points can be correctly calculated with the configuration of a conventional single touch screen panel, and a multi-touch screen panel can be more cheaply driven as compared to a conventional multi-touch screen panel by calculating coordinates of multiple contact points with a configuration of a conventional single-touch screen panel. Also, according to the method for calculating the coordinates of multiple contact points, a single wiring, which is connected to the upper-end and lower-end electrodes of the first substrate, and to the left-end and right-end electrode of the second substrate, respectively, is used. Therefore, the touch area of a touch screen panel can be increased, and a process for manufacturing a multi-touch screen panel can be simplified by calculating the coordinates of multiple contact points by simply changing the software of a single touch screen panel and thereby reducing the rate of defects.</p> |
