<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently provide a power converter, allowing instantaneous switching between voltage step-up/down and powering/regeneration of bidirectional conversion of a DC or a single-phase AC and a three-phase AC, without having to make power conversion to be in multiple stages. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter includes two current-type power conversion circuits (31, 32) which are connected in parallel to each of a DC or single-phase AC load (1) and a three-phase AC load (7) in reversed polarity via two DC inductors (3) and a PWM control circuit (23) that cooperatively switches the two current type power conversion circuits (31, 32) for modulating the pulse width and for bidirectionally stepping up and down a voltage between the DC or the single-phase AC (1) and the three-phase AC (7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
