A method and system for implementing dynamic telephone book service in IP multi-media sub-system are disclosed. The system includes a terminal and an IP multi-media sub-system. The method includes: when the terminal lies in the network which does not support IP access, the terminal and the IP multi-media sub-system load the service data of IP multi-media sub-system dynamic telephone book in a short message. By the short message, the IP multi-media sub-system dynamic telephone book service information exchange is completed between the terminal and the IP multi-media sub-system. In the method and system, by existing 3G IMS network standard and devices, without changing in network infrastructure, a little protocol extension can make users use IMS dynamic telephone book functions in the network which does not support IP access and feel the permanent online service in IMS, and thus the network congestion is avoided and the experience of user is improved. |
