<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of determining whether an input image is a vivid scene or not with the sense more close to a human being. <P>SOLUTION: A method for processing images includes an image acquiring step of acquiring image data, a first correcting step of correcting saturation information of the image data on the basis of at least any one of the hue information and the luminance information of the image data, a determining step of determining whether the image of the image data is a vivid scene or not from the saturation information corrected in the first correcting step, and an output step of outputting a result of determination obtained in the determining step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
