The transportation belt (6) has a transportation side (9) arranged opposite to a driving side (10), and a coating (11) provided on the transportation side in sections. The coating is formed such that the coating develops small adhesive force between adhesive labels to be transported and a layer (8) of the transportation belt formed under the coating, where the coating is made of silicone. Areas (15) of the coating run transverse to a direction of travel of the transportation belt. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a transportation belt.
