PURPOSE: A light diffusion member and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be applied effectively in illumination for high quality of homogeneous background light form which is required to the advanced automatic optical inspection, or industrial illumination such as line scan. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic transparent matrix resin of 95~99.999 weight%, and light diffusing beads of average particle diameter of 1~4μm : 5~10μm : 11~30μm are composed of the substrate which is molded as the composition of 0.001~5 weight% of photodiffuser mixture which is weight ratio of 1 : 0.4~0.8 : 0.1~0.3. A plurality of random fine cavities of horizontal width of 0.4~350μm, and vertical width of 0.4~35μm, and height of 0.4~35μm are formed on one surface of the substrate, and has micro-irregular surface profile in which down left right interval between the micro cavity is 0.4~35μm. The light diffusing member in which the full width at half maximum (FWHM) angle is 0.5~135° and light transmission rate is 82~90%.
