PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Dendropanax morbifera extract is provided to control MMP-1 expression due to UV irradiation and to ensure anti-aging. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.001-30.0 weight% of Dendropanax morbifera extract as an active ingredient. The Dendropanax morbifera extract is prepared by solvent extraction, supercritical extraction, and sonication. The solvent used for solvent extraction is water, anhydrous or hydrous low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butyl acetate, hexane, and mixture thereof.
