LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition having good fuel saving performance together with satisfactory durability of a gear, a bearing and the like. SOLUTION: The lubricant composition for a transmission (excluding a manual transmission) comprises (A) a mineral oil base oil for a lubricant having a kinetic viscosity at 100°C of 1.5 to 10 mm2/s, (B) one or more oils selected from polyester based lubricants having a kinetic viscosity at 100°C of 50 to 500 mm2/s in an amount of 7.5 to 20 mass% based on the total amount of the composition, (C) an extreme pressure additive comprising a phosphorus based extreme pressure additive and/or a phosphorus-sulfur based extreme pressure additive or further comprising a sulfur based extreme pressure additive in an amount of 0.01 to 5 mass%, and (F) an alkaline earth metal based cleaning agent in an amount of 0.05-4.0 mass%.
