<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which reliably avoids display malfunction, as an electric field is not generated at the moment when a charge is received by static electricity, and the charge is released in an instant. <P>SOLUTION: Five faces other than a face on which wiring line 34 is arranged for driving a liquid crystal panel 2 are covered with a transparent conductive film 4 in the liquid crystal panel 2. As a front face side and a rear face side of the transparent conductive film 4 are connected, the charge due to static electricity instantaneously moves, and no electric field is generated in a liquid crystal to generate no display malfunction. Moreover, a pressing section 31 projected from a plate section 30, which holds the liquid crystal panel 2, is electrically conductive, and an ground section 33 is formed at its root part.
