PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain precise cutting surfaces and eliminate the loss of a material, in a method of cutting a wire made of the high hardness material to manufacture small piece members. SOLUTION: In this cutting processing method of the wire, the wire made of the high hardness material is cut into small pieces. Predetermined six steps including (a)-(f) steps are repeatedly implemented in turn. This cutting method enables to precisely cut the wire made of the high hardness material and prevents the loss of the high hardness material. The wire material having been cut has cutting surfaces that excel in homogeneity. If it is used as a spark plug electrode, stable electric discharge characteristics are provided.
