A method and a device for displaying real-time road condition information are provided. The method comprises: determining a current position, and obtaining real-time road condition information of the current position in current time (S11); selecting an object road whose road condition information is to be shown, and generating a summary road network map comprising only the object road and marked with a part of important place names (S12); and displaying the real-time road condition information on corresponding positions of the summary road network map (S13). The device comprises a real-time road condition information processing unit (1), an image generation unit (2) and a display unit (3).
