PURPOSE: A multimedia device and method thereof by using an operation tool are provided to move a point to a desired reproduction point regardless of the entire reproduction time of a multimedia file. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia control module(400) controls the reproduction of a multimedia file. A display module(100) displays an operation tool in order to transfer regular time interval unit. A touch sensing module(200) includes a touch signal sensing area in which the operation tool is indicated. A control tool control signal generating module(300) generates an operation tool control signal.
