<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device capable of displaying information at a proper display position which is translated in real time from a foreign language and a pictogram included in a document, a signboard, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A character determination section 14 determines and extracts a character string (word) included in a document, a signboard, etc. that is imaged by an imaging unit (camera) 11. The extracted character string is converted into a translation word or relevant information using a dictionary 12.
