PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting the lowering of the internal pressure of a tire which can easily set an alarm threshold according to a tire size. SOLUTION: The method for calculating the dynamic loaded radius of the tire of a traveling vehicle, and detecting the lowering of the internal pressure of the tire based on the magnitude of a change of the dynamic loaded radius from a reference value at normal internal pressure includes a step of detecting the wheel rotation information of each tire of the vehicle, a step of calculating wheel speed from the detected wheel rotation information, a step of obtaining vehicle speed information from a GPS device mounted to the vehicle, a step of obtaining the dynamic loaded radius of each tire from the vehicle speed and the wheel speed obtained form the speed information, and a step of determining the lowering of the internal pressure of the tire when the magnitude of the change of the obtained tire dynamic loaded radius from the reference value exceeds a predetermined threshold.
