PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for handling an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble substance, having an excellent character preventing the problems of blockade, etc., of a device caused by the deposition of a water-insoluble substance and stably operable for a long period of time, a method for producing alkylbenzene hydroperoxides and a method for producing hydroxybenzenes. SOLUTION: This method for handling the aqueous solution containing the water-soluble substance changing to the water-insoluble substance over time is provided by comprising a process of making the aqueous solution containing the water-soluble substance changing to the water-insoluble substance over time in contact with a water-insoluble organic solvent to move the water-soluble substance to the water-insoluble organic solvent by extracting the water-soluble substance.
