<p>The invention relates to a method for managing packet mode roaming in a cellular radio communication network. During the migration of a user device (UE) from a first cell (1) managed by a first SGSN server (SGSN 1) to a second cell (2) managed by a second SGSN server (SGSN2), said user device (UE) having pre-established a PDP context within said first cell (1), said method includes a first step during which the user device (UE) transmits, to said second server (SGSN2), a routing area update (RAU) request that is parametrized by the area identifier of the first cell (1) at the access network (LAI/RAI-air). Said method is characterized in that it then includes the following steps: a) the second server (SGSN2) obtains the IP address of a server, referred to as a proxy SGSN, which is linked to a HNB gateway and is registered as a cooperative SGSN in relation to the SGSNs of the core network (CN); b) the second server (SGSN2) sends, to said proxy SGSN, a query request that is parametrized by an identifier (P-TMSI) of the user device (UE) and by said area identifier of the first cell (1) at the access network (LAI/RAI-air); c) the proxy SGSN server executes a translation between the area identifier of the first cell (1) on the access network (LAI/RAI-air) and the area identifier of the first cell (1) at the network core (LAI/RAI-land); d) the proxy SGSN sends said area identifier (LAI/RAI-land) at the network core to the second server (SGSN2); e) the second server (SGSN2) sends, to the proxy SGSN, a PDP context request that is parametrized by the area identifier (LAI/RAI-land) at the network core; and f) the second server (SGSN2) receives, from the proxy SGSN, said PDP context of the user device (UE).</p> |
