PURPOSE: An automatic teller machine and an operating method thereof are provided to rapidly confirm that a shutter of a cassette were arbitrarily opened or closed, and the financial accident and crime can be prevented in beforehand. CONSTITUTION: A case includes a plurality of payment parts in the different location. A storing unit is included in the case. the paper mediums are saved. A media conveying unit transfers paper mediums from the media storing unit by one piece. A media inspection unit is included in the media conveying unit, senses the paper mediums transferred to the media conveying unit. A carriage(111) includes paper mediums normally adjudged with the media inspection unit is loaded in inside. and is carried along one among movement routes of being connected to payment parts, so as to make contribute paper mediums through one among payment parts. The first position is arranged in inside to rotate, and the paper mediums are loaded in carriage.
