<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of toner leakage around a developing roller due to a pressure of developer which is transferred to the downstream side in a conveying direction of an auger. <P>SOLUTION: A developing unit DU includes: a developing part having a supply member (supply roller 63) to supply the developer to the developer carrier (developing roller 61), and a conveying member (auger 64) to convey the developer in an axial direction; a developer storage part located adjacent to the developing part; partition walls 65a and 71A to partition the portion between the developing part and the developer storage part; and supply ports 65B and 71B and return ports 65C and 71C formed in the partition walls 65A and 71A. One end 64C of the conveying member on a downstream side in the conveying direction extends outside the supply member in the axial direction, and the return ports 65C and 71C face the one end 64C of the conveying member extending outside in the axial direction. A wall W, for suppressing the movement of the developer from the conveying member side to the developer carrier side, is disposed between the one end 64C of the conveying member and the developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
