<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a video non-display period by surely starting channel switching processing. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver includes a RAM 120 and a control section 130. The RAM 120 stores second channel selection control information having, for each channel, an I-picture appearance time that is a time when a packet containing an I-picture is acquired, and an I-picture appearance interval time that is an interval of the time when the packet containing the I-picture is acquired. When input for changing channel selection is received in an operation section 108, the control section 130 acquires an I-picture appearance time and an I-picture appearance interval time corresponding to a changed channel from the channel selection control information, adds the I-picture appearance interval time to the I-picture appearance time to calculate an I-picture appearance estimated time to next acquire a packet containing an I-picture, and delays the channel change to a time earlier than the I-picture appearance estimated time by a time required for changing the channel selection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
