PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the focus more quickly than hitherto on microorganisms subjected to fluorescent dyeing. SOLUTION: This microorganism detection method for collecting microorganisms in a sample onto a filter by filtration, and detecting microorganisms subjected to fluorescent dyeing from the filter by using a microscope having autofocus function includes a fluorescent mark arrangement process for arranging a fluorescent mark emitting fluorescence on the filter.
