PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld joint of galvanized steel plates capable of reducing generation of blowholes or pits, and having high reliability. SOLUTION: In an arc welding method of galvanized steel plates in which the arc welding is of low heat input and high deposition, the input energy Pw per the feed amount of a welding wire is≥0.4 and≤0.65, and the weld metal deposit Ft of the welding wire per thickness of the steel plate is≥2.5 and≤6.0. Further, the components in shield gas of the arc welding consist of Ar, CO<SB>2</SB>and O<SB>2</SB>, while satisfying the inequalities O<SB>2</SB>≤6 vol.%, and 30 vol.%≤CO<SB>2</SB>+5×O<SB>2</SB>≤100 vol.%, where Pw denotes (the welding current Iw[A])×(welding voltage Vw[V])/(feed amount Vf of the welding wire [mm/min]), and Ft denotes the feed amount Vf of the welding wire[mm/min]/welding speed Vt[mm/min]/thickness of steel plate [mm].
