PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion feature extraction device and a motion feature extraction method, allowing easier evaluation of a corresponding motion by comparison with a normal motion. SOLUTION: The motion feature extraction device 300 is a device extracting a feature of the corresponding motion from an evaluation target moving image. The motion feature extraction device includes an area setting part 330 displaying a learning moving image obtained by photographing the normal motion, and receiving setting of an attentional area; a whole feature extraction part 320 and a related learning part 340 extracting a learning whole feature amount of the whole of the learning moving image and an in-area feature amount of the attentional area from data of the learning moving image by the CHLAC feature extraction method, generating learning data wherein the learning whole feature amount and the in-area feature amount are associated, and extracting an evaluation target whole feature amount that is a feature amount of the whole of the evaluation target moving image from data of an evaluating moving image by the CHLAC feature extraction method; and a feature recalculation part 350 extracting the feature of the corresponding motion from the evaluation target whole feature amount by use of the learning data.
